Vison, Mission and Values

Vision

Our vision is to see African communities where youths are firmly rooted in Jesus Christ, able to put the Bible’s teaching into practice and live out the gospel message themselves, as well as encouraging their peers in the wider community to do the same, to the glory of God.

Mission

We are an inter-denominational organisation that exists to encourage true Christian discipleship amongst the youth of East Africa. Through the use of culturally relevant teaching materials and the media, a network of trained volunteer youth leaders work alongside small groups of youth people to equip them to engage with the Bible, putting its teaching into practice, leading to transformed lives as relationships with Jesus Christ grow.

Core Values

• We value the Bible as God’s word.
• We value the youth as God’s children and appreciate the contribution they can make, both in the Church and in the wider community, in building God’s kingdom.  We believe the youth are both the Church to today and tomorrow.
• We value godly character as the process of sanctification and adopt approaches to discipleship that seeks to produce lasting fruit in the lives of young people.
• We value the contribution that trained lay volunteers can play in building God’s kingdom and the contribution they can make in their communities.
• We value small groups as the most appropriate and effective means of discipleship.
• We value the role of the Church as the agent of God’s Kingdom and are especially committed to supporting the rural Church.
